Gary inspected the plenum, there was microbial growth in the insulation. The system was replaced 3 years ago but had the original 20 year old plenum. Gary replaced the plenum and installed a scrubber. We haven't had any allergy problems in our new home so far.

Signs Your Home May Need
Attention
Problems inside your system are not always easy to see. These common signs may indicate that it should be professionally inspected.
A Musty Smell That Comes and Goes
Damp material behind a wall or in the attic smells strongest when the AC cycles.
Stains on a Ceiling or Around a Register
A ring around a supply register usually means condensation or a leak on the duct above it.
Water in the Drain Pan
A clogged AC drain overflows into the attic insulation and the return plenum.
Warped Floors or Bubbling Paint
Moisture under the finish, often from a slow plumbing leak nobody has seen.
Allergies That Got Worse After a Leak
Wet insulation and duct liner grow microbial growth within days and the system spreads it.
A Recent Roof or Plumbing Repair
The leak is fixed, but what it soaked is still in the house unless someone dried it.

Frequently Asked
Questions About Water Damage Services
Do you offer free inspections before service?
Yes. Every service starts with a free professional inspection. We open the system, photograph what we find and give you a written price before anything is touched.
Do you provide microbial growth remediation?
No. We do not perform licensed microbial growth remediation. We provide moisture inspection, drying support, and cleaning of accessible HVAC components. If licensed microbial growth remediation is required under Texas regulations, we refer homeowners to qualified remediation professionals.
Do you handle emergency water extraction?
We provide moisture inspection and limited drying assistance related to HVAC systems and affected areas. For large-scale flooding or insurance restoration projects, we coordinate with licensed water damage restoration specialists.
How quickly should water damage be addressed?
Water intrusion should be evaluated as soon as possible. Delayed response can increase structural damage and raise the risk of microbial growth, especially in warm Texas climates.
Can water damage affect my HVAC system?
Yes. Water intrusion can impact ductwork, insulation, air handlers, and drain systems. Moisture inside HVAC components may reduce system efficiency and affect indoor air quality.
Do you work with licensed remediation companies?
Yes. If contamination or damage exceeds cleaning and drying scope, we can coordinate with licensed remediation professionals in compliance with Texas regulations.
